I have a stray cat that has been hanging around my house that I have been feeding. I live in PA and the weather is getting colder by the day. I don’t know where he has been sleeping, but knew he needed something. I bought this Cat Condo, but since we can easily get temps in the negatives I needed to do some weatherization to it. I bought reflective bubble insulation plus a self heating mat to put inside of it to help him stay cozy.It was easy to put together and thankfully didn’t have any issues with the flooring like some people had. I lined all of the sides with the reflective bubble and out the self heating mat in. I’m thinking of putting some more blankets in it for the really frigid temps.The box can fit on big size cat or a couple of smaller kitties. If you are looking to house multiple big cats than this won’t do because it’s not big enough, however it’s perfect for my guy.If you live in the colder climates it won’t do just itself because the wood is a soft wood that would be drafty along with the floor, but if you have the time and resources to westherize it than it’s perfect! I do wish it was a little bit sturdier, but for the price it’s good.
